On September 17 in the early morning, while photographing the Malibu Triathlon I rolled my left ankle coming off a step stool breaking both my tibia & fibula. Ultimately having surgery that evening to place a metal rod through the tibia as it was a clean break. The fibula being only a partial break, realigned with the rod insertion.

There is a much more interesting story here, but I will save for another more thorough post on this soon.

Do to my injury, I was unable to attend the Pacific Coast Triathlon the next day obviously and was not discharged from the hospital until Monday, September 19 in the evening.

After coming home & settling in for what will be a long recovery, I struggled getting this event processed in a timely manner due to the pain & discomfort I have been experiencing, and the drowziness due to the injury & meds. It didn't help that my taggers I hire took 3 days to tag 4000+ photos (something that they normally knock out in a few hours).

Just wanted to inform everyone regarding the delays in getting their photos out there. I work very hard both pre & post race to prevent delays but have found over the years that there is always something out of my control that interferes.
